Moments that cannot be described with words!;

The incentive excursion to the magical Miami & the exotic Bahamas, organized by the Union Optic - Rodenstock for its customers, was a great success!

Miami, Nassau, CocoCay & Key West were the wonderful destinations visited by the participating opticians.
The trip started on March 8 with a very large turnout and was completed on March 16.

On March 8, participants gathered at the airport Eleftherios Venizelos in Athens and departed for Miami. Upon arrival, our opticians had 3 full days available to explore the beautiful Miami.  The city of Coral Gables and Miami Beach were the “must” destinations in the morning and the nocturnal visits to South Beach & the Coconut Grove will remain unforgettable to everyone. The party of Greek opticians in the trendiest club in Miami called “Mango”, was the clue of the day and will certainly be remember by the participants.

Shopping therapy is of course obliged during such trips, so our team spent the whole day to visit the well-known Sawgrass Mills, the most famous outlet mall all over the world!
The next day included walks in different areas of Miami, with a break at the picturesque "Little Havana" for classic Cuban coffee and of course...  Cuban cigars!

Next, the team boarded Royal Caribbean's "Majesty of the Seas", the magnificent cruise ship for the next destination. The day after found them in Nassau, Bahamas.  One tour at the local market, and next stop at Paradise Island - the most famous beach on the island! Several of the participants had the opportunity to visit the Atlantis Hotel and the famous casino, where many James Bond movies have been filmed.

Next stop is Coco Cay; a small, isolated island, available only to guests of Royal Caribbean. The extraordinary landscape with beautiful, exotic beaches won the interest of the visitors!

Last but not least, a “stop” at Key West, the southernmost point of the USA! A small island, combining the wonderful culture of Florida, the Bahamas and New Orleans! Ernest Hemingway’s house gained the interest and lots of the participants had the chance to visit it.Unfortunately Ernest was not there for coffee and cookies…

The team was spending afternoons on board, since the luxury cruise ship included lots of activities in its spaces and there was no time for the travelers to get bored! Spa, solarium, pools and cocktails were the most popular, while for the night the theater, the full-size ice rink and Casino Royale made the difference!  Of course, there were also several night clubs for all types of fun!

All opticians who had attended other cruises in the past, acknowledged the high level of service.  As for the “beginners”? The best possible first taste of huge luxury!

The food was also plenty, and according to Royal Caribbean’s representatives, those who attend this kind of cruises gain approximately a kilogram per day! The restaurant’s choice was a hard one, since they were able to satisfy all culinary tastes. Dinner was scheduled daily at 20:30, in ship’s largest restaurant, where tables had reservations in the name of “Union Optic”.
The comeback found everyone refreshed and with the best impressions! It won’t be easy to get back to everyday life after that experience... so, we have already started the countdown for our next, exotic trip!
